In 2017, Tozers Solicitors LLP Group purchased the building space next door to their existing office in Newton Abbot. Charteroak (South West) Limited were asked to refurbish the property fully internally, including the movement of internal walls to create a better use of space and on the external front aspect. Over time the property had fallen into some disrepair and overall was very tired.

 

All the rooms needed to be stripped back and brought in line with not only Tozers vision, but conform to building regulations and address safety, with a fire alarm/smoke detector system. New electrical wiring throughout, lighting, IT, kitchenette, bathroom and toilet facilities, followed by carpets, walls, ironmongery and full decoration or reconfiguration in the space layout was required.

 

Although the new building was not occupied, there was a requirement to turn the project around as quickly as possible whilst meeting high expectations.

 

As with most projects, the initial plan altered during the process and with Charteroak (South West) Limited skills in listening and providing solutions, the result met the client’s business desires.
